AVC 212 FINE ARTS: History of Art
This course provides an in-depth survey of major developments in the history of art from prehistory through the early modern era. The focus is on the non-Western cultures and the West, with a study of architecture, painting, and sculpture across key historical periods. The course develops visual analysis skills and historical understanding essential for advanced fine art coursework. Field trips to galleries, museums, and related institutions may supplement the course.
