AVC 105 Digital Design Foundations

This course provides a foundational study of visual communication and digital design principles. Students examine composition, typography, color, and image construction while developing technical skills in digital production methods. Through project-based learning, students apply conceptual thinking and design strategies to digital imaging, vector-based illustration, and layout projects using professional software. The course also introduces AI-assisted tools and examines their impact on authorship and originality. It prepares students for upper-level courses in specialization tracks.
