PSY 436 Psychology of Trauma
This course examines psychological responses to trauma across the lifespan. Topics include theoretical and empirical models of trauma, neurobiological and cognitive effects of traumatic stress, trauma and stressor-related disorders, resilience, and recovery. Students will critically evaluate research on diverse forms of trauma and consider ethical, cultural, and trauma-informed approaches to assessment and intervention.
