PSY 419 Introduction to School Psychology

An introduction to the school psychology profession. We will study methods of identification and diagnosis of physical, psychological, and learning disabilities, and evaluate strategies for supporting the academic, behavioral, and socioemotional success of children in schools. The course will include discussion of the characteristics of specific disabilities and indicate how these characteristics affect the total adjustment of the developing individual.
