LIN 260 Structure of English
An introduction to the grammar of English, focusing primarily on morphology and syntax. The course emphasizes a practical, hands-on approach in which students practice analyzing a variety of English texts from diverse English users. Additional topics include semantics, phonology, and discourse structure. This course is recommended for students who are interested in careers such as interpretation and language teaching, where knowledge of grammatical concepts is essential.
Prerequisite
Pre- or co-requisites: ASL 125 and ENG 102 or above. Students should either have satisfied or currently be scheduled to satisfy their ASL and ENG general education requirements.
