TRS 130 Foundations of ASL–English Translation I

This course introduces students to foundational skills required for ASL–English translation. Students will develop pre-translation competencies such as concentration and memory, glossing, shadowing, paraphrasing, and text restructuring. The course emphasizes bilingual and bicultural awareness in translation practice and prepares students for advanced coursework in ASL–English translation.
